Safety and riding
- What makes the ello safe?
On slopes it brakes automatically and gives you a secure hold. Its sensors detect stumbling and slow it down noticeably; in the event of a fall it stops automatically. It also lights the way ahead, below and behind.
- How does the brake assistant work, even in the wet?
Sensors detect inclines and stumbling movements and apply the brakes to reduce the speed. That applies in all weathers.
- How does the ello get over obstacles?
At the touch of a button, ello helps you over a kerb or a small step. Steep stairs are ruled out by design.
- What do the motors do in everyday life?
Two electric motors help on inclines and carry the weight of the rollator, even when the shopping basket is full.
- How is the ello operated?
You switch it on and choose your fitness level once. ello takes care of everything else automatically for you. 1 = high support and 5 = low support.
- What sets the ello apart from other rollators?
The drive. It takes care of inclines and obstacles, much like an e-bike does. And you can't tell by looking at it.
Battery and technology
- What happens when the battery is empty?
You can still push and steer it without restriction, and the rolling resistance barely changes. You'll get home without the drive.
- How is the ello charged?
From an ordinary household socket. The battery can stay in the rollator or be taken out. That way a second battery can be charged at the same time. A full charge takes around 4 to 5 hours.
- Is there a spare battery?
Yes. If you regularly go on long journeys, you can add a second battery and swap it on the way.

Weather and everyday life
- Can I use the ello in the rain?
It meets protection class IP23 and is protected against spray water. Rain is no problem, but you shouldn't hose it down.
- How do I secure the ello against theft?
With a bicycle lock of a suitable security level, locked to a fixed object.
- Can the ello be insured?
Ask your insurer which cover is available for the rollator.
Buying, advice and costs
- How do I find out whether the ello is right for me?
The best way is to ride it. Use the retailer search to find a medical supply store near you. The test ride there is free.
- What warranty is there?
The statutory warranty is two years from the date of purchase and covers defects that were already present at the time of purchase.

- How often should the ello be serviced?
Once a year at a specialist retailer. Use the retailer search to find your nearest one.
